Homeowners Tap Smartphone Apps During National Home Improvement Month in May as Remodeling Activity Expected to Increase This Year

As homeowners embark on their home projects during National Home Improvement Month in May, they’ll be looking to their smartphones to get inspiration and stay organized — and newly-launched NestPix is one app that can help.

NestPix is a mobile-social app for home pros and DIYers that gives users the ability to track and share their home projects with the world.

With NestPix on iOS, users can create photo folders and galleries for each project, then show off their work through Facebook, Twitter and email. NestPix users can also share their project portfolios with the mobile NestPix Community — all straight from their mobile devices.

“NestPix is the go-to app for home improvement and DIY buffs to track their projects and showcase them to world,” said Gus G. Sentementes, creator of NestPix and founder of Happy Olive Media LLC.

With millions now using smartphones, these devices are central to home improvement projects for taking pictures, sharing status updates, and seeking information. Research from Prosper Mobile Insights shows nearly 10 percent of smartphone owners undertook a major home improvement project in March, while four percent of home improvement purchases are influenced by mobile.

And the latest survey from Harvard University’s Joint Center for Housing Studies shows that the home remodeling market is on an upswing, and could finish the year up 5.9 percent.

NestPix is for home owners, real estate professionals, contractors, architects, interior designers, preservationists, and anyone who wants to document home-based projects and share in a social way.

The iPhone app is currently free. Extra project folders cost 99 cents for a 3-pack, and $1.99 for a 7-pack. Download at the Apple App Store: http://bit.ly/nestpixdownload
